Technical Project Manager
Six Degrees are delighted to be representing a well-established software business in their search for a project manager. Our client is continuing to grow and branch out and now require a Project Manager to work with their technical teams to deliver their innovative solutions.
This role will suit someone with general project lifecycle experience including project management and business analysis. The work will cover a wide variety of tasks, and will involve managing several projects at once. The successful candidate will work closely with the technical team and the Directors.
The candidate should have a good understanding of the project lifecycle, system developments and documentation, can work as part of a team yet be able to deliver their own work, hit deadlines and be flexible in approach.
The successful candidate will be part of a successful organisation that has grown year on year since inception and now total 30 staff members in North Cumbria. No end of possibilities within their dynamic growing organisation.
The two key responsibilities are as follows:
• Project work
• Analysis of new business opportunities
Duties & Responsibilities
• Prepare proposals and estimates, and business cases
• Be main point of contact with our client PMs and monitor project progress and issues
• Ensure projects resourced, all time recorded appropriately, and information for monthly billing is produced
• Produce system requirements, design and test plan/results documents
• Manage testing of our new systems
• Carry out project governance – plans, progress reports, minutes, RAID logs
• Work closely with Directors and technical team
• Analyse future markets and products
• Produce reports and presentations for Director
About You
Skills:
Accomplished with Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, MSP)
Competent report and presentation writer
Thorough Data Analysis with attention to detail
Capable with expressing commentary on findings
Knowledge:
Project Management and Business Analysis
Project Lifecycle experience and documents – Business Case, Requirements, Design documents, Testing, Project governance e.g. RAID log, plans etc
General:
Proactive team member but also able to work on own
Good communication and written skills
Can-do attitude, Self-motivated
Experience:
This person needs to be used to working in a commercial organisation, working to tight deadlines and able to provide the commitment to completing a job to a high standard.
