Software Business Analyst


The Software Business Analyst role is to provide an analytical resource for the company’s system and supporting applications. Duties include analysis of current business processes, creation of business and system requirement specifications, management and delivery of development projects and software evaluation and testing. The role will involve liaising with internal staff, external software vendors and customer base.

• Create system specifications, diagrams.
• Create knowledge base documentation.
• Produce and maintain business processes documentation.
• Manage the development and deployment of systems enhancements.
• Testing new software development and checking the specification.
• Identify and resolve program errors.
• Test fixes and post resolution follow ups to ensure problems have been resolved.
• Identify user requirements and develop solutions for reporting, queries and data extraction.
• Provide end-user training as necessary with regards to the deployment of new applications, and application enhancements.
• Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to management, customers and end-users.
• Assist in the general management of the Company’s system, and software suppliers

Position Requirements

Education & Certification

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & Experience

• Business process and systems analysis
• Business and system requirement specifications
• Managing development projects from conception through to delivery
• Software testing
• Problem investigation
• Working with software developers
• Electronic Data Interchange
• Logistics
