National & International Sales Manager

We are currently assisting a leading provider of journals, conference proceedings, Standards, eBooks and much more. They are now looking for a Sales Manager covering the Uk and European Territories.

Direct Reports: National Account Managers and Senior National Account Managers.
Geographic Territory: UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia
Package: Dependent on the applicant + Car/Travel Allowance, expense account, plus commission and bonus packages.

Main Purpose of this Position:
Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum sales, profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.
Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for National Account Managers and Senior National Account Managers.

Main Duties of This Position
1. Manage a sales team of 5 Account Managers across UK, Ireland and Scandinavia
2. Business Development
3. Assist the Managing Director with reporting and publisher relations
4. Ensure Sales Processes are adhered to and improved where necessary
5. Work with the Finance Manager and Marketing Manager

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
1. 5+ years of experience in Sales Management.
2. Proven ability to drive sales.
3. Experience with academic, government and corporate sales.
4. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
5. Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.

Special Features of this position
1. Must possess a full UK driving license with no endorsements
