Head Of Marketing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Marketing to join an established group of businesses in North Cumbria.

The role will oversee a team of 11 who deliver Marketing and comms for a wide range of services and products across the group. The team consist of exceptional and driven people, making it an exciting and interesting place to work and they are looking to expand our team by creating this new role.

You will be responsible for both creating and delivering the multiple marketing strategies needed for each brand and product area. Being a strategic leader with a hands-on approach you will take key responsibility in the execution of these various brand strategies to deliver profit targets.

As a key member of the management team you will need to drive the commercial focus and report on measurement and ROI across all marketing channels to the Marketing Director and the wider senior team. You will also manage and develop the in-house marketing department and lead all agency support.

The successful candidate will hold an impressive track record in marketing management, desirably in a regulated market and will be degree educated (or equivalent) with a CIM Diploma or other postgraduate marketing qualification. Project management and team development experience is essential along with experience in integrating a full mix of marketing strategies, particularly in digital marketing and CRM product.

Role Responsibilities

The Head of Marketing will be accountable for creating end to end campaigns across all marketing channel outputs that result in new and continued digital interactions with their customers. You will:

• Create marketing budgets and strategies to drive customer acquisition to meet sales targets across all different product channels.
• Own and develop the customer journey to maximise engagement and conversion.
• Develop the brand propositions for the business and its portfolio.
• Be responsible for the execution of marketing plans and generating innovative ideas to maximise channel mix and drive sales.
• Be accountable for leading all campaigns entirety, from initial idea to analysis and creative, all the way through to execution and reporting.
• Create a strong analytical approach to measurement and campaign performance.
• Create content marketing strategies.
• Report on progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics.
• Execute on new test and learn strategies; implement ongoing improvements and invest in areas that drive scalable results.
• Maximise online, offline and integrated channel effectiveness including all aspects of social, paid and earned media.
• Develop and implement innovative ways to maximise revenue utilising digital channels and full marketing mix.
• Be responsible for developing a team and managing their personal growth.
• Manage all supporting agencies with goal setting, KPIs and reporting.
• Be responsible for website reporting analytics and insight, improving usability and conversion.
• Challenge current methods and processes to identify new and innovative practices which improve prospecting and the customer journey.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements:
• Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing
• Experience as a Head of Marketing or Senior Marketing Manager leading a team; specific experience within a regulated sector would be an advantage.
• Excellent commercial acumen combined with strategic thing and innovation.
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A creative flair linked with a clear commercial focus
• A proven track record in delivering marketing campaigns
• Demonstrated ability to effectively set and deliver targets
• Strong analytic skills and ability to use data to develop and optimize marketing programs
• Experience developing and managing a team
• Demonstrated success in leading digital marketing programs
• Ability to plan strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution
• An ability to lead the business in digital growth but be a marketing all-rounder with demonstrable experience across all digital channels
