Commercial Finance Coordinator

A Commercial Finance Coordinator is required to join an innovative award-winning team near Carlisle.

Role Objective
Supporting the Finance Director and Managing Director, you’ll be heavily involved in everything finance and sales related. You will work closely with our client’s suppliers, clients, sales team and marketing team.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting the Finance Director and Managing Director with tasks including:
• Preparation of budgets and yearend financial statements
• Purchase Ledger: Invoice entry, gaining of approval for payment under agreed terms, updating of supplier information in internal systems, resolve queries
• Sales Ledger: raising invoices, posting receipts, credit control
• Reconciliation of Sales and Purchase Ledger using Xero
• Calculating VAT and other sales taxes – Both UK and International
• Monthly financial reports using Xero
• Monitor cash flow statements and predict future trends
• Review and evaluation of cost reduction
• Multi-currency calculations including GBP, US$, Euro’s and other European currencies
• Preparation and processing detailed customer quotations in a timely manner using Xero
• Forecasting sales opportunities in Salesforce
• Support sales team carrying out administration duties
• Review and update of inventory items in Xero
• Review and update of quote and invoice templates in Xero

Personal Requirements
The individual we are seeking will ideally be AAT qualified with an accounting background and proven relevant experience. The successful candidate will possess previous experience in:
• Assisting with monthly reports and completing daily transactional duties. Experience of multi-currencies, especially US$ and Euro’s is preferable.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with individuals of various levels and backgrounds such as directors, consultants, analysts, both technical and non-technical.
• Ability to make sound and logical decisions and choose appropriate courses of action based on the parameters of the situation.
• A passion for digital and an ability to manage a busy schedule.
• A person with good organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Based at our offices in Carlisle, Cumbria, the role may involve some travel as required.
