Business Analsyt

Six Degrees are delighted to be assisting a client in thier search for a business Analyst in North Cumbria. The role will report into the Group IT Director and work with the large IT team and stakeholders within the business.

The sucessful Candidate will be responsible for acting as a bridge between stakeholders in the organisation and will perform a range of activities which help ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the organisation through identifying, defining and validating internal and external changes.

The post holder will support the implementation of new IT solutions or significant change by improving, designing and documenting data mapping, workflow and processes. The post holder will make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness and the design and implementation of IT systems.

Key Duties
In particular, these will include:
 Investigate and analyse business functions, identifying areas for improvement
 Build effective working relationships across the organisation
 Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to capture and document business requirements
 Ensure that business requirements are clearly translated and documented for according to departmental standards
 Manage implementation of solutions and provision acceptance testing
 Support change programmes
 Report on project progress
 Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments
 Responsible for acting as an agent for change and challenging the status quo to ensure that innovative solutions are designed and business aspirations and processes are adjusted to extract substantial value from solutions
 Champion the use of Business Process Management tools and principles for capturing, analysing and developing integrated solutions
 Works with stakeholders to prioritise requirements

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
 Project Management demonstrated by appropriate qualification e.g. PRINCE2 Practioner
 Competency/experience in systems / network architecture
 Competency/experience in project management
Desirable:
 Good understanding of IT infrastructure
 Good understanding of operations support
 Good understanding of information and security best practice
